About

Hello, my name is Michael T. Brown. The 2021-2022 school year was my first in the role of Executive Director of Quest Forward Academy Omaha. I come to Quest Forward Academy after a lengthy career in public education, spanning five different schools, serving in the capacities of teacher, coach, assistant Principal, PK-12 Principal, and finally Superintendent of Schools for the past four years. I was raised in Chadron, Nebraska. After high school graduation, I spent five years in the US Army, allowing me to travel the world and see many cultures. After my military career ended I was able to own and operate a floor covering business while attending college for five years.   

I have been blessed to be able to attain much knowledge and personal experience throughout my life and career.  Educationally, I have a B.A. in Education from UNK, M.A. in Education 8-12 Principal from UNK, an M.A. in Education PK-8 Principal from Wayne State College, and a Specialist Degree School Superintendent from Wayne State College.

I believe through self-awareness and education one can achieve their goals and dreams. I view myself as a lifetime learner, as every day there are new opportunities to learn and grow. I also believe that mistakes and misfortunes only allow us to better ourselves and grow into more well-rounded individuals.

Personally, I recently married my wife Tonya and we have been busy moving to Papillion, Nebraska and setting up our new home. Between my wife and I, we stay pretty busy with our children and grandchildren in our free time. We are blessed to have eight children and six grandchildren. Our children’s ages span from 9 to 29, and the grandchildren span from 1 month to 5. In our free time, we enjoy travelling, boating, fishing, hunting, and just spending time with family.

I am very pleased and excited to be part of Quest Forward Academy and take part in this very interesting and rejuvenating educational experience.
